Recap: Elsinore Tigers vs. Orange Vista Coyotes
After losing to the Orange Vista Coyotes the last time they met, the Elsinore Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Elsinore enjoyed a cozy 45-26 win over Orange Vista on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elsinore.
Leading Elsinore to victory were Ashirah Williams and Miranda Garcia. Williams scored 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Garcia scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Leeandra Bermudez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Elsinore's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Orange Vista, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Elsinore will head out on the road to face off against Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Vista, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vista del Lago at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Vista del Lago has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 13.
