Smith Center has gone 9-1 against Oakley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Redmen will take on the Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. Smith Center is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Friday, Smith Center didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Ulysses, but they still walked away with a 26-20 victory.

Meanwhile, Oakley took a blow against Thomas More Prep-Marian on Friday, falling 52-21. The Plainsmen have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Smith Center will have to keep a close watch on Carsen Beal and Jett Wolf, a pair of players who had a big impact on Oakley's prior game. Beal picked up 119 receiving yards and one TD, while Wolf threw for 129 yards and one touchdown. Beal also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Smith Center's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Oakley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Smith Center against Oakley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 30-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redmen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
