Basketball Recap: Vistamar Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Vistamar Vikings came up short against the Marymount Sailors and fell 44-31. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marymount got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alianna Hong out in front who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Jerkens, who earned ten points.

Vistamar's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Marymount, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vistamar will take on WISH Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. WISH Academy's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so Vistamar's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Marymount, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Alemany at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
