Football Recap: Rio Americano Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bella Vista last Monday, Rio Americano came back down to earth. The Raiders were dealt a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Ponderosa Bruins on Monday. Considering the last time the Raiders couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Rio Americano has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Ponderosa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Rio Americano has already played their next matchup (against Inderkum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ponderosa, they will challenge Vista del Lago at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bruins 11.7, the Eagles 7.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
