Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Bears vs. Buford Wolves

Mountain View hasn't had much luck against Buford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Mountain View didn't have quite enough to beat Dacula and fell 12-11.

Peyton Patterson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Olivia Storey, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Buford put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over Collins Hill. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won 21 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Buford, their win bumped their record up to 25-0.

Mountain View suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Buford when the teams last played back in September. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
