Preview: Cate Rams vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
Cate is 0-5 against St. Bonaventure since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cate Rams' road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th. Cate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 784th, while St. Bonaventure is ranked 334th).
Last Tuesday, Cate came up short against Bishop Diego and fell 50-39.
Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 54-37 victory over Bishop Diego.
Cate has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for St. Bonaventure, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Cate took a serious blow against St. Bonaventure when the teams last played on January 11th, falling 61-21. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cate was down 33-9.
