Soccer Game Preview: Harker vs. Menlo School

Harker is 0-7-1 against Menlo School since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Harker Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Menlo School Knights at 3:45 p.m. Harker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Last Friday, Harker made easy work of Mills and carried off a 5-1 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Harker hit Mills with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Claire Anderson (2), Eva Cheng, Ava Zarkesh, and Natalie Barth.

Meanwhile, Menlo School entered their tilt with Carmel on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Padres onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Padres are ranked 764th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harker is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Menlo School, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
