Softball Recap: Platte Valley Comes Up Short

Platte Valley lost against Rocky Ford back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos lost 14-4 to the Meloneers. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landree Edstrom made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Platte Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Rocky Ford, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Platte Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Wray/Yuma on the 6th. As for Rocky Ford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-2 defeat against Alamosa on the 9th.
