Salesian College Preparatory came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins with a sharp 63-43 win. The Pride have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Salesian College Preparatory to victory were Janiya Sawyer and Vanessa Parilla. Sawyer posted 17 points and three steals, while Parilla had 15 points and four steals. Sawyer has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamia Sawyer, who put up 12 points and six rebounds.

Salesian College Preparatory's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
