Basketball Recap: Beaumont United Timberwolves vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs
The Beaumont United Timberwolves can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 75-52 margin over Summer Creek. Given Beaumont United's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 123rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beaumont United's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayde Dotson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Clarence Payia was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Beaumont United pushed their record up to 25-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Summer Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.
Beaumont United will head out on the road to square off against the Bruins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. West Brook is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Summer Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
