Baseball Recap: Walker Comes Up Short

Walker easily dispatched New Manchester last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Walker Wolverines fell just short of the North Cobb Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Wolverines couldn't push the score so high this time.

Walker got a good showing from Tyler Fallmann, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Walker's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Cobb, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Walker and North Cobb will both be playing Roswell the next time they take the field. Walker will head out to face Roswell at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while North Cobb will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
