Softball Recap: Coosa Falls to Rome in First Game of Season

Coosa had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rome Wolves on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 22 in a row.

Coosa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelynn Shaffer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Kierra Bain was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Rome has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coosa will welcome Walker at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rome, they will challenge Alexander at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
