Baseball Game Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Wayne Trace Raiders

The Wauseon Indians will square off against the Wayne Trace Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wauseon's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Otsego 2-0. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Thad Reckner's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wauseon is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Wauseon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady McGuire, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Wayne Trace beat Van Wert 9-6 on Friday.

The win got Wayne Trace back to even at 11-11. As for Wauseon, the victory got them back to even at 10-10-1.
