Basketball Game Preview: Pottsville Crimson Tide vs. Tamaqua Blue Raiders

The Pottsville Crimson Tide will head out on the road to challenge the Tamaqua Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tamaqua took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pottsville, who comes in off a win.

Pottsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Panther Valley by a score of 53-42 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crimson Tide.

Tamaqua has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 47-34 to Schuylkill Haven on Monday.

Pottsville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Tamaqua, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

Pottsville might still be hurting after the 48-23 defeat they got from Tamaqua in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tamaqua's Millie Black, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.
