Football Game Preview: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights + Official Tickets

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Benilde-St. Margaret recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jaguars will take on the Red Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jefferson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 24-17 win over St. Louis Park on Friday.

Meanwhile, Benilde-St. Margaret's had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 50-8 victory over the Hylanders. Given the Red Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Hylanders are ranked 287th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Benilde-St. Margaret's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Jefferson couldn't quite finish off Benilde-St. Margaret's when the teams last played back in October of 2020 and fell 25-23. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
