Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Ridge Stallions vs. Tolleson Wolverines

The Shadow Ridge Stallions will take on the Tolleson Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Shadow Ridge was beaten by Boulder Creek 67-39. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Jaguars are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Tolleson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Ridge.

Shadow Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Tolleson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Shadow Ridge couldn't quite finish off Tolleson in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 57-55. Can Shadow Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
