Baseball Recap: Central Tigers vs. Sikeston Bulldogs

Sikeston typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Central proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Chapman Ogles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jathan Spain was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 10-16 when he doesn't).
