Football Game Preview: Coon Rapids Cardinals vs. Hopkins Royals + Official Tickets

The Coon Rapids Cardinals will square off against the Hopkins Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Coon Rapids sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over Park. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Hopkins didn't have too much trouble with Eastview on Friday as they won 42-28.

The victory got Hopkins back to even at 3-3. As for Coon Rapids, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coon Rapids and Hopkins were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October of 2019, but Coon Rapids suffered an agonizing 20-19 loss. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
