Basketball Game Preview: Diamond Ranch Panthers vs. Ontario Jaguars

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Diamond Ranch Panthers face off against the Ontario Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday... Ontario took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Diamond Ranch, who comes in off a win.

Last Monday, everything came up roses for Diamond Ranch against Don Lugo as the team secured a 55-23 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 925th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ontario came up short against South Pasadena on Tuesday and fell 53-45.

Diamond Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Ontario, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

Diamond Ranch strolled past Ontario in their previous meeting on January 10th by a score of 46-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Diamond Ranch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
