Basketball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Escalon Cougars

Ripon has won six straight games at home, while Escalon has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Ripon Indians will host the Escalon Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Ripon earned a 32-25 win over Sonora. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Escalon blew past Ripon Christian, posting a 64-21 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Escalon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Ripon, their victory bumped their record up to 17-9.

Ripon came out on top in a nail-biter against Escalon when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 43-40. Will Ripon repeat their success, or does Escalon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
