Basketball Recap: Monache Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Monache extended their postseason success on Thursday against Centennial. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Centennial Golden Hawks. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Golden Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Monache got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyah Bartlett out in front who posted 17 points along with seven boards and seven steals. That's the most steals Bartlett has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shelley Andrade, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Monache smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Monache pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points over those games. As for Centennial, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-7.

Coming up, Monache will take on Sierra Pacific at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Sierra Pacific will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Monache surely won't give up without a fight. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
