Baseball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon extended their losing streak to eight on Sunday, dropping them down to 4-13. They came up short against the Keshequa Indians, falling 11-1. The Braves were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Keshequa, their record is now 9-7. Considering they have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

For Keshequa's part, Nathan Hillier was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Hillier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Fox, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon will head out to challenge Pavilion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Keshequa, they will venture away from home to square off against Warsaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.14 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
