Football Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Atchison was the 62-21 winner over Highland Park when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Phoenix came up short against the Scots on Thursday, falling 42-18. The Phoenix were down 34-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

This is the second loss in a row for Atchison and nudges their season record down to 3-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-0 Washington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.3% over those games). As for Highland Park, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Atchison will welcome Parsons on Friday. As for Highland Park, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
