Football Recap: Rolla Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rolla extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were outmatched by the South Barber Chieftains and fell 79-0. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Chieftains are ranked 29th).

As for South Barber, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 40 points or more this season.

South Barber's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Garen Cantrell led the charge by picking up 63 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 66 yards and one TD. Cantrell also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defending two passes in addition to snagging three interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Brayden Duvall was in the mix as well, providing South Barber with two touchdowns.

As of now, neither Rolla nor the Chieftains have any future games scheduled.
