Soccer Game Preview: Dougherty Valley vs. Livermore

The Dougherty Valley Wildcats will square off against the Livermore Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Dougherty Valley and three for Livermore.

It was a proper cat-fight when Dougherty Valley duked it out withCarondelet on Thursday. Dougherty Valley lost 4-0 to Carondelet. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Cougars are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Livermore's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of San Ramon Valley by a score of 2-1.

Livermore's goal came courtesy of Eleanor Cowan, who's now up to seven this season.

Livermore's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Dougherty Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
