Soccer Game Preview: Woodlake vs. Orange Cove

The Woodlake Tigers will challenge the Orange Cove Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Woodlake faced off against Lindsay on Thursday. Woodlake fell just short of Lindsay by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Tigers couldn't score was back in November of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Orange Cove came into Thursday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Strathmore finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Titans have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Orange Cove's draw gives them a new season record of 2-12-2. As for Woodlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4-5.

Woodlake took their win against Orange Cove in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Will Woodlake repeat their success, or does Orange Cove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
