Soccer Recap: Sanger Comes Up Short

Sanger was the 4-1 winner over Torres when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Apaches lost 6-1 to the Toros on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Sanger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 525th, while Torres are ranked 154th).

Sanger's goal came courtesy of Emma Escobar, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sanger is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10-3. As for Torres, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Sanger didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Central East on the 10th. As for Torres, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Madera South on the 13th.
