Softball Recap: Freeman Falcons vs. Wahoo Warriors
Freeman's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Grand Island Central Catholic on Monday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Wahoo Warriors 7-6. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Sydney Lenners made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
