Baseball Recap: Dakota Comes Up Short

Dakota was the 3-2 winner over Forreston when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday.

Braxton Mazurkiewicz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Burke, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dakota's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Forreston, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dakota will square off against Morrison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Forreston, they will take on River Ridge/Scales Mound at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
