Basketball Recap: Heartland Lutheran Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to the Nebraska Lutheran Knights. The Red Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Samantha Hueske, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Heartland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Nebraska Lutheran, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Heartland Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nebraska Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to face off against Shelton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Shelton has won ten straight at home, while Nebraska Lutheran won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
