After flying high against Leroy Greene Academy last Thursday, Delta came back down to earth. The Delta Saints took a 31-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westlake Charter Explorers . The Saints' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Ayren Rapp, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals. Rapp is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed five or more in the last five games she's played.

Leading Westlake Charter to victory were Madysen Gibbs and Anthonia Nwaukoni. Gibbs went 6 for 10 on her way to 16 points and three blocks, while Nwaukoni posted seven points along with eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave Nwaukoni a new career-high in steals. Mika Binger was another key player, putting up two points and six rebounds.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Westlake Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Delta has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Elite on the 23rd. As for Westlake Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-9 win against Esparto on the 23rd.
