It was a proper cat-fight when Central faced off against Starr's Mill on Tuesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Starr's Mill, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge East Coweta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Starr's Mill, they will take on Harris County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
