Basketball Recap: Coastal Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Coastal Academy extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Kloeppel. The Coastal Academy Stingrays enjoyed a cozy 36-21 win over the Guajome Park Academy Frogs on Tuesday thanks in part to Kloeppel, who posted eight points along with six steals and five rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Heiress Afalava was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Coastal Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Guajome Park Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coastal Academy will challenge San Diego Jewish Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Guajome Park Academy, they will face off against Foothills Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Foothills Christian's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Guajome Park Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
