Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian Victorious

Elyria Christian beat the Hartford Jaguars 2-0 on Saturday.

Elyria Christian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17.

Joy Pyle paced Elyria Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Pyle got some help from Laney Reiff and her 18 assists. Reiff was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Elyria Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Hartford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Elyria Christian and Hartford will both be playing Cunningham the next time they take the court. Hartford will host Cunningham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Elyria Christian will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
