Softball Recap: Chamblee's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Decatur, Chamblee was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Woodward Academy War Eagles with a sharp 10-4 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Callie Delfavero was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

Chamblee's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Woodward Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamblee will square off against Blessed Trinity at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodward Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
