Soccer Game Preview: Callaway vs. Jackson

The Callaway Cavaliers will square off against the Jackson Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Callaway sitting on four straight wins and Jackson on three.

Last Friday, Callaway made easy work of Westside and carried off a 7-2 victory. Considering Callaway have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Jackson gave up the first goal last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Strong Rock Christian 2-1. That's two games straight that Jackson have won by just one goal.

Roland Lynch was the driving force of Jackson's attack as he scored both of Jackson's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Callaway's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Callaway skirted past Jackson 2-1 in their previous matchup on March 4th. Will Callaway repeat their success, or does Jackson has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
