It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but San Clemente had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took down the Valencia Vikings 80-64. The Tritons are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Valencia's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamilla Basyrova, who went 8-for-18 en route to 24 points. Basyrova is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexis Epie, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points and six rebounds.

San Clemente's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Valencia, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-5.

Looking ahead, San Clemente will take on JSerra Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. JSerra Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully San Clemente likes a good challenge. Valencia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
