Softball Recap: Central Drops Season-High Score on Lee County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lee County Trojans a 17-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Lee County, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will challenge Griffin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lee County, they will face off against Veterans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
