Columbus has gone a perfect 6-0 against Sumter County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Columbus has three straight victories, Sumter County has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Columbus' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Spencer as they made off with a 13-0 win.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Sumter County was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Hardaway, falling 16-1.

Sumter County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenyon Walters, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Sumter County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Columbus, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Everything went Columbus' way against Sumter County in their previous matchup back in March, as Columbus made off with a 17-0 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
