Soccer Game Preview: Fortuna vs. Eureka

Fortuna has gone 8-2 against Eureka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Huskies will square off against the Loggers at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eureka better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Fortuna's game on Saturday is any indication, that's when Fortuna really gets things going. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over McKinleyville. Considering Fortuna have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Eureka can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over South Fork.

Fortuna's record is now 17-1-1. As for Eureka, their record now sits at 6-8-3.

Fortuna skirted past Eureka 5-4 when the teams last played on October 1st. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
