Softball Game Preview: St. Michael the Archangel Guardians vs. St. Teresa's Academy Stars

St. Michael the Archangel and St. Teresa's Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but likely not for long. The Guardians will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Stars at 4:30 p.m. St. Michael the Archangel is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, St. Michael the Archangel came up short against St. Pius X and fell 7-4.

Samantha Dorsch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, St. Teresa's Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Summit Christian Academy, falling 15-2. The Stars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

St. Michael the Archangel's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for St. Teresa's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went St. Michael the Archangel's way against St. Teresa's Academy when the teams last played back in August, as St. Michael the Archangel made off with a 14-2 win. Will the Guardians repeat their success, or do the Stars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
