It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mt. Whitney can now relate to. They fell just short of the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Pioneers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Mt. Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for Central Valley Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-13 record.

Mt. Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Valley Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Kingsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cavaliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
