It was a good run, but Cambridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 12-5 to the Buford Wolves. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bears, who until this contest were averaging 3.1 runs allowed.

Cambridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Kimball, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another was Annie Womack, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Buford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 24-0.

Looking ahead, Cambridge will be playing at home against Wesleyan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buford, they will head out on the road to square off against Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
