Basketball Game Preview: Arthur County Wolves vs. Mullen Broncos

Arthur County hasn't had much luck against Mullen recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Broncos at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Arthur County didn't have quite enough to beat Sutherland and fell 41-39.

Meanwhile, Mullen came up short against Arapahoe on Saturday, falling 69-49.

Arthur County will need to focus on slowing down Hayley Donohoe, one of several Mullen players who made an impact when they last played. She shot 45% from the field on her way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Donohoe has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenna Donohoe, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Mullen's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Arthur County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Arthur County was taken down by Mullen 53-24 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolves were down 33-5.
