Football Recap: Sam Krzykowski's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Olathe West over Shawnee Mission Northwest + How To Watch

Olathe West lost against Shawnee Mission Northwest back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Owls received a blow as they fell 52-33 to the Cougars. Despite 319 more yards than the Cougars, the Owls couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Olathe West's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Krzykowski, who picked up 218 receiving yards and two TDs. Krzykowski showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 64 yards. Brody Hale was another key passer, throwing for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Traimyre Woodruff had a dynamite game For Shawnee Mission Northwest., rushing for 110 yards and two scores on only 13 carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Olathe West fell to 2-1. As for Shawnee Mission Northwest, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
