Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Windham's 13th in Last 14 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Windham rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Edward Little Red Eddies as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Kennedy Kimball, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Edward Little off the board. Kimball has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Yani Kostopoulos, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Addison Caiazzo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Windham is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Edward Little, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Windham nor the Red Eddies have any future games scheduled.
