Basketball Recap: Blair Starts Season with Win Against Mercy

Blair had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 63-37 margin over the Mercy Monarchs. The Bears pushed the score to 51-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Monarchs had little chance of recovering from.

Beau Wendt had an outrageously good game as she posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave her a new career-high. Kate Wulf was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Blair wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-24 win against Lincoln Northwest on the 6th. As for Mercy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-47 victory against Plattsmouth on the 6th.
