Baseball Game Preview: St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings vs. Westfield School Hornets

For the second straight game, St. Anne-Pacelli will face off against Westfield School. St. Anne-Pacelli will welcome Westfield School at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Anne-Pacelli is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, St. Anne-Pacelli didn't have quite enough to beat Westfield School and fell 13-11. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly two runs.

Connor Zittrauer was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of St. Anne-Pacelli's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Hudson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Even though they lost, St. Anne-Pacelli kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

The win got Westfield School back to even at 6-6. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
