Volleyball Recap: Kokomo Triumphs

Kokomo lost to Richmond back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildkats came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildkats.

Kokomo didn't let Richmond take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22.

Kokomo had a senior duo take command as Tia Williams had 15 digs and two aces and Torre Willis had 21 assists. Willis is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Kokomo now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Richmond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Kokomo and Richmond will both be playing Culver Academies the next time they take the court. The Red Devils will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wildkats will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
