Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paramount). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the El Rancho Dons 78-22. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, El Rancho had strong showings from Emery Riker, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and three blocks, and Emma Gonzalez, who put up two points. Another player making a difference was Carissa Basurto, who had nine points and four steals.

Paramount has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for El Rancho, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-4.

Paramount will be taking part in a tournament against Acalanes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Rancho, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Montebello at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. El Rancho is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
